Just to note, I’ve had plenty of experience with HP LaserJet and HP Color LaserJet printers and they do perform very well and can last a long time when properly maintained however, my previous experience with HP inkjets weren’t as positive. I was hesitant at first given prior experience with some HP inkjet printers but after doing the research and seeing the HP printers in-store, I made the leap and I’m glad I did. After looking at various options, I decided to go with HP. It became too costly to keep wasting ink cartridges with constant head cleaning and printer maintenance and made no sense to have to replace the printers so often. I think I went through three or four Epson inkjet printers replacing them every two to three years (on average).Īfter using Epson inkjet printers for so long, I decided to make a switch. Eventually, printer maintenance and head cleaning wouldn’t work anymore so I’d have to buy a new printer. To resolve the issue, I would run the printer maintenance and head cleaning utilities which would normally fix the issue, at least temporarily, but would also use up a ridiculous amount of ink with each cleaning (as you probably know, ink cartridges aren’t cheap). For many years, I used Epson inkjet printers because of their print quality however, I would constantly run into the issue of clogged printhead nozzles and degraded print quality.
